What to expect

This is a one day structured workshop, an intensive but highly enjoyable process aimed at raising the skills and confidence of the participant.

The level of experience in watercolour painting is of little relevance for this workshop, it is suitable for beginners or those wanting to explore their skills further.

We study the materials and techniques to discover new ways of seeing the world around us, and to translate that into successful watercolour painting. We look at how to find compelling subject matter and striking compositions almost anywhere. We study the nature of light in painting that defines and gives an image life.

David Wardman is an accomplished watercolour artist, as well as conducting workshops he has given talks, and taught at Sydney College of the arts, UTS and Sydney University in watercolour illustration.
